Piloting modern trading opportunities in agriculture through creation of the innovative online platform

The project is co-financing by the Joint Operational Programme “Black Sea Basin 2014-2020”.

The project AgroNet is for cross-border cooperation between project partners aiming to increase trade opportunities and modernization in the agricultural and connected sectors through piloting modern trading opportunities in agriculture by creating the innovative online platform. The project implementation will be piloted on the regional level in three countries of the Black Sea Basin with the forward outlook for transfer-ability and extension opportunities to the neighboring countries.

The following key actions will be implemented during the project:

  • Developing the online, multi-language, international platform with an advanced matchmaking, information sharing, events listing tools for trade and cooperation
  • Sourcing the online platform with the relevant information including legislation, research, publication, market analysis, etc.
  • Promoting the platform through trainings, encouragements, marketing, social and informational campaigns

Project Partners

The consortium implementing the AgroNet project includes the following partners:

Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (Georgia)
Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) was founded in 1994 and since then it has stood as one of the first innovative Western-oriented projects, started with one Master’s program in Public Administration. This event was preceded by the agreement between the United States Information Agency (later the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the United States Department of State), the Government of Georgia, and the United States National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) on the implementation of a joint project in Georgia under the name of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs.

Elva (Грузия)
Elva is a non-profit organization with offices registered in The Hague, The Netherlands and Tbilisi, Georgia. Founded in 2013, the organization aims to provide products and services that bridge the gaps between citizens and decision makers worldwide.

Varna Economic Development Agency (Bulgaria)
Varna Economic Development Agency (VEDA) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental association, registered to operate in public benefit. It is located on the territory of Varna District in Bulgaria, East Europe.The agency was established in 1997 under the joint program of Varna Municipality and USAID to assist the advancement of regional economic development. Since 1998 VEDA is a member of the network of the Bulgarian Association of Regional Development Agencies and Business Centers (BARDA).

SMART Development Center (Romania)
