Between 25 and 27 June 2025, the 1st Interregional Thematic Seminar was held in Italy, organized by the Province of Lucca and the University of Florence – Department of Architecture, within the framework of the #RE-ACT Schools project.
The seminar’s theme was “Green Infrastructure for Biodiversity and Sustainable Schoolyards.”
The main objective was to explore the role of green infrastructure in enhancing biodiversity, environmental sustainability, and promoting health and well-being in school environments.
The event also marked the official launch of the #RE-ACT Schools project and hosted the first meeting of the Project Steering Committee.
During the second and third days, thematic round tables and a partner panel were held, featuring presentations from #RE-ACT Schools project partners, including VEDA (Varna Economic Development Agency), who presented the pilot activities, among them the pilot initiative in Aksakovo Municipality (Bulgaria) – an associated partner in the project.
