Agencies Supporting Value of Innovation systems in regional and LOCal economies

AsviLoc+ grows up of AsviLoc project(ANNP CBC) results and of experience of Regions in the RPIA 2000-06. Acting for innovation systems is a long-term effort supported by successive experimentations. Successful regions commit to long-term policies which put in place the elements which encourage a common vision of innovation as a factor or regional development. RDAs can act as facilitator linking actors that express innovation need, providers of innovation services and institutions charged of the planning the policies to support innovation.

The main objectives of the project are: to contribute building up a transnational innovation system; to enhance RDAs role fostering regional innovation system; to share and to capitalise lessons learnt from the EU RPIAs.

Project activities are: local and transnational networking; setting up of Regional Laboratories that foreseen the sharing of knowledge and expertise among the key innovation actors;implementation of staff exchanges and training package to enhance RDAs staff; carrying out pilot actions to test innovation services on the SMEs and their representatives;integrated planning workshops involving innovation policy makers and innovation key actors; drafting of a memorandum of understanding of the RDAs addressed to the European Policy Makers in charge of shaping policies for the period 2013/2020; drafting of RDAs Innovation Action Plan 2015.

Project outputs are: the permanent information sources; pilot innovative services; establishment of transnational and regional networks including coordination mechanism for innovation friendly framework contribution.

Expected results: new ICT tools developed for innovation knowledge management;training tools adopted to improve knowledge management and to increase awareness innovation management process; setting up regional networks for innovation approach and policies;establishment of transnational network including coordination mechanism for innovation friendly framework contribution.

Project Partners

Svim – Sviluppo Marche SpA (Lead Partner)
The Svim contributes to the development of the economy of the Marche region, supporting the Public Administration activities, in close collaboration with the economic forces at work in it, through the development of local, European and international perspective of support to ‘youth employment and promoting generational change, in compliance with the regional planning guidelines

Consortium for the Development of Polesine
The Consortium for Development of Polesine has been established in 1963 promoted by the Province of Rovigo, the Chamber of Commerce and all the Municipalities of the Province of Rovigo. Territorial Agency for programming, coordination and animator of the social and economic development, it operates as Agency for the development of the territory of the province of Rovigo (Southern area of the Veneto Region).

Informest was founded in 1991, a period of renewal and of openness with respect to Eastern Europe following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Informest was established under Italian Law 9/1/91 n.19, with the objective of promoting economic development and internationalization processes.

AWS – Austria Wirtschaftsservice
The Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH (aws) is the Austrian federal promotional bank and is 100% owned by the Federal Republic of Austria. The Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT) act as owner representatives.

Varna Economic Development Agency
Varna Economic Development Agency (VEDA) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental association, registered to operate in public benefit. It is located on the territory of Varna District in Bulgaria, East Europe.The agency was established in 1997 under the joint program of Varna Municipality and USAID to assist the advancement of regional economic development. Since 1998 VEDA is a member of the network of the Bulgarian Association of Regional Development Agencies and Business Centers (BARDA).

ANATOLIKI sa – Development Agency was set up as Societe Anonyme, according to article 274 paragraph 1b of the presidential decree 323/89, to act as a Center for the Development of Human Resource and the Strengthening of the Local Economy in the wider area of Eastern Thessaloniki.

Regional Development Agency of Rodopi (ANRO)
Rodopi Development is a Joint-Stock Company LOCAL AUTHORITY (Local Authority Enterprise according to the 3rd article of 252 Law 3463/2006 “New Municipal and Community code”). It was founded in 1992.

The south transdanubian regional innovation agency nonprofit ltd.
Based on its achievements in the field of regional innovation, the South Transdanubian Regional Development Agency (STRDA) – in collaboration with other innovation support organisations – established the Regional Innovation Agency Nonprofit Ltd. (STRIA) in 2008.

North-East Regional Development Agency (ADRNORDEST)
RDA is a generator of economic and social development in the North-East Region. RDA develops strategies, attracts resources, identifies and implements financing programmes and offers services for stimulating sustainable economic development, partnerships and entrepreneurial spirit.

Regional Development Agency North West
Regional Development Agency (RDA) Northwest is an independent regional organization, established under Law 151/1998 (regional development law, later repealed by Law 315/2004), Decision no. 4 / 16.12.1998 of the Regional Development Council of Region North-West as a public body with legal personality, acting on specific areas of regional development.

Regional Development Agency Celje (RDA Celje)
Provide a comprehensive organizational development – technical and financial support for the development startup Savinjska region and become the central information – development hub and generator umbrella of regional sectoral and cross-sectoral projects.

Istrian Development Agency Ltd. (IDA)
The Istrian Development Agency (IDA) Ltd. is the first regional, and one of the leading Croatian development agencies. It was established on 14 December 1999 as an operational body entrusted with the implementation of development programmes of the Region of Istria and the Istria 21 Development Consortium. Registered with the Commercial Court in Rijeka on 29 May 2000, it became operational on 1 June 2000.

Development Agency Vukovar-Srijem Country Ltd. (HRAST)
HRAST operates as „One stop service center“ which assists foreign and indigenous investors in establishing or expanding their businesses – at every stage of the process.
