On 18 September 2025, the Municipality of Aksakovo hosted a co-design workshop focused on improving the open-air spaces of “St. Kliment Ohridski” Secondary School.
The event gathered more than 30 participants, including students, teachers, parents, community members, and representatives of the municipal administration.

The workshop presented the RE-ACT Schools Project and the EURO-MED Programme, sparking active discussions and a wide range of proposals for the renovation of the pilot area, supported by Interreg EURO-MED funding.

Key ideas included transforming the school’s sports field into a multifunctional, climate-adapted space offering opportunities for volleyball, basketball, football, skateboarding, table tennis, and fitness activities.
Suggestions also focused on shaded seating areas, improved lighting, additional greenery, and new relaxation zones.

Students participated in a live survey on their satisfaction with the current facilities, providing valuable input for the upcoming environmental audit under the project.
