The WINBLUE project was presented to the participants from Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria in a ToT course, carried out under the Erasmus+ funded project with acronym BlueDivet – “Blue economy digitalization skills for VET students”. The event was hosted by the IDEC in Piraeus, Greece between 30.10.2023 and 03.11.2023.
VEDA representatives have the opportunities to meet with the IDEC team to discuss the challenges and problems of women in blue economy sectors that are in the focus of WINBLUE project as well.
Currently the IDEC implements over 60 EU funded projects, among them the project Blue-C – “Collaborating Coastal Communities through Co-Work Co-Design & Co-Creation” (https://inishowen.ie/blue-c/ ) and the SECOVE project (https://secove-project.eu/ ). The second project aims to establish a cooperation platform for Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) across Europe in the sector of renewable and sustainable energy with focus also on attracting more women in that sector. The IDEC started a new project – approved recently and entitled GENDERATE – “Gender mainstreaming in TVET” . The organization is interested in further collaboration with VEDA on gender equality issues in the blue economy sectors.
